NCCUSL Drafting Committees are committees actively engaged in the drafting of a specific uniform or model act which will be submitted for consideration and possible promulgation by the NCCUSL.

Study Committees are committees charged with gathering information and comment about a particular subject or issue, and with preparing a report and recommendation as to whether a drafting project should be undertaken.

Standing and Governance Committees are committees within the NCCUSL charged with specific ongoing oversight functions or subject matter areas of responsibility. Standing Committees include the Executive Committee and Committee on Scope and Program; Governance Committees include various editorial boards, standby committees, and other specific-function committees.
