The New Mexico Rail Runner is a light rail system that offers inexpensive transit between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. After arriving at the airport, travelers must take a shuttle to the train station. Fares are under $10.00 per person each way (a discount is given for tickets purchased online). The train ride is approximately one hour and ends at the Santa Fe station, just a short distance from the hotels. Guests can walk from the station, take the Santa Fe Shuttle, which makes stops at all the major Santa Fe hotels, or grab a cab. Please visit www.nmrailrunner.com for schedules, fares and connecting shuttle information.

Wi-Fi
The Santa Fe Convention Center has free WiFi, and laptop battery recharging stations will be available again this year at the back of the general session ballroom. The Eldorado and the Hilton offer wireless for $9.95/day.
Miscellaneous
Breakfast: Breakfast is not included in the registration fee this year. There are many good, inexpensive dining options near the hotels from which to choose (see the dining guide or ask a concierge). The Eldorado Hotel and the Convention Center will have coffee carts set up each day, which will sell drinks and light fare.
Museum Pass: The New Mexico commissioners have arranged for each family to receive one complimentary museum pass, allowing for free entry into all the state-run museums. The pass and accompanying materials will indicate all state-run museums.
Altitude and Weather: Santa Fe’s high altitude means air is rarefied and thinner. It usually takes people about 48 hours to adjust and staying hydrated helps. If you have any concerns about altitude sickness, please make sure to consult your physician before you travel.
Watch your alcohol intake (especially if you are visiting from sea level).
Use sunscreen and wear a hat. Due to Santa Fe’s elevation and thin air, and the fact that the sun shines over 300 days of the year, protection is recommended. Santa Fe’s climate is dry, sometimes with less than 20 percent humidity.
Bring a jacket. Nights and early mornings are cool, even in July and August.
